Cannot run Qlik Web Connectors as a Windows Service

You cannot run Qlik Web Connectors as a Windows Service. You see the following, or a similar pop-up error message:

• Windows could not start the Qlik Web Connectors service on Local Computer.
  Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Possible cause  

Incorrect .NET Framework version is installed.

Proposed action  

Check the System requirements and install the required .NET Framework version.

Do the following:

1. Install .NET framework and follow any prompts for restarting.

2. Restart the Windows service for Qlik Web Connectors.
