Preparing for authentication

To access your data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

The consumer channel type ID is a unique ID that you receive during your onboarding. It is used to track the consumer request by channel.

To get your client ID, you must create an API key:

Log in to Walmart Developer Portal.
Click My Account.
Select the Login type: Marketplace or DSV.
Create your client ID and secret from the API keys page.
Generate a temporary token for your software. It expires after 15 minutes.
Call the token API and specify your client ID and secret.
