Segment

Segment is a platform bringing customer data together for real-time insights.

Depending on your use case, you might need to install Data Movement gateway to move data from SaaS applications. For more information, see Quand Data Movement gateway est-elle obligatoire ?.

Preparing for authentication

To access your data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

Assurez-vous que le compte que vous utilisez dispose d'un accès en lecture sur les tables à récupérer.

To obtain your API Key:

Log in to the Segment application.
Select the workspace you want to generate a token for. Each Segment workspace requires a separate token.
Click Settings in the left menu to access Workspace Settings.
Navigate to the Access Management tab, and click Tokens. This tab lists any existing tokens created for the workspace.
Click Create Token, and follow the prompts to generate a new token. Be sure to select a Public API token, and not a Config API token.
Click Generate OAuth Secret.
Copy and save the API Key in a secured file. You will need it to connect to the application.

Creating the connection

Complétez les propriétés de connexion requises.
Fournissez un nom pour la connexion dans Nom de la connexion.
Sélectionnez Ouvrir les métadonnées de connexion pour définir les métadonnées de la connexion lors de sa création.
Cliquez sur Créer.

Data gateway	Sélectionnez une Data Movement gateway si cela est nécessaire pour votre cas d'utilisation. Note Informations Ce champ n'est pas disponible avec l'abonnement Démarreur Qlik Talend Cloud, car il ne supporte pas Data Movement gateway. Si vous avez un autre niveau d'abonnement et si vous ne souhaitez pas utiliser Data Movement gateway, sélectionnez Aucune. API Key	The API Key.
API URL	The Segment API URL can be accessed through multiple regions, depending on data residency policies: for US-based workspaces, you can use api.segmentapis.com. For EU-based workspaces, eu1.api.segmentapis.com.
