Preparing for authentication

To access your data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

To obtain your token:

1. Go to to the Settings page of the Samsara dashboard. application preferences.

2. Click the gear icon on the navigation bar. Are you a developer? Create an app….

3. Click API Tokens.

4. Click Add an API Token.

5. Select from a Read-only.

6. Copy and save your token in a secured file. You will need it to connect to the application.

Creating the connection
