Samsara is a platform providing insights for physical operations.

Depending on your use case, you might need to install Data Movement gateway to move data from SaaS applications. For more information, see När krävs Data Movement gateway?.

Preparing for authentication

To access your data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

Kontrollera att kontot du använder har läsåtkomst till de tabeller som du vill hämta.

To obtain your token:

Go to to the Settings page of the Samsara dashboard. application preferences.
Click the gear icon on the navigation bar. Are you a developer? Create an app….
Click API Tokens.
Click Add an API Token.
Select from a Read-only.
Copy and save your token in a secured file. You will need it to connect to the application.

Ange de kopplingsegenskaper som krävs.
Ange ett namn på kopplingen i Kopplingsnamn.
Välj Öppna kopplingsmetadata för att definiera metadata för kopplingen när den har skapats.
Klicka på Skapa.

Connection settings
Setting	Description
Data gateway	Välj en Data Movement gateway om det krävs för ditt användningsfall. Duration	Duration to query in milliseconds.
Start Date	Start date for the queries in the format `YYYY-MM-DD`. Example: 2024-05-28.
Start Date Daily Report	Start date for the the daily reports in the format `YYYY-MM-DD`. Example: 2024-05-28.
IFTA Historical Years	Number of historical years to query for reporting endpoints.
Historical Days	Number of historical days to query.
Start	UNIX timestamp of start time for the queries. You can convert a date and time into a UNIX timestamp at https://www.unixtimestamp.com.
End	UNIX timestamp of end time for the queries.
Token	Token.
