Google Ads

Google Ads is the advertising platform of Google. You can use Google Ads as a data source when landing or replicating data.

You can leave all custom report fields empty to use pre-built reports.

Preparing for authentication

To access your data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

Create a client ID and a client secret

Create credentials for a web app OAuth client ID in Google Cloud Console.

Add https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm as an Authorized redirect URI.
Click Create.

Creating custom querys

You can create GAQL querys to use as custom queries in the connection with Google Ads Query Builder.

Select the resource to use.
Select your attributes.

InformationshinweisDo not make changes in the other sections (WHERE, ORDER BY, LIMIT, PARAMETERS).

A GAQL query is created in the form SELECT <attributes> FROM <resource>.

Click the copy icon and paste this query in the Custom Query fields.

Creating the connection

Geben Sie einen Namen für die Verbindung in Verbindungsname ein.

Setting	Description
Data gateway	Wählen Sie ein Data Movement gateway aus, wenn dies für Ihren Anwendungsfall erforderlich ist. Client ID	OAuth Client ID that you created.
Client Secret	OAuth Client secret that you created.
Ad Account Id	The account id for the Google Ads account that you want to load data from, without hyphens. Example: If the account ID is 123-456-7890, set Ad Account Id to 1234567890.
Ad Manager Account Id	The account id for your Google Ads manager account, without hyphens. If you are not using Google Ads manager, provide your ad account id again in this field. Example: If the account ID is 123-456-7890, set Ad Manager Account Id to 1234567890.
Start Date	Start date for the reporting period you require in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
Custom Query One	Custom query in the form of a GAQL query in the form of SELECT <attributes> FROM <resource>. InformationshinweisThis field is optional, leave it empty to use pre-defined reports.
Custom Query Two	Custom query in the form of a GAQL query in the form of SELECT <attributes> FROM <resource>. InformationshinweisThis field is optional, leave it empty to use pre-defined reports.
Custom Query Three	Custom query in the form of a GAQL query in the form of SELECT <attributes> FROM <resource>. InformationshinweisThis field is optional, leave it empty to use pre-defined reports.
