Top tasks

The Top Tasks dashboard provides a summary of activity and performance metrics for the given time frame and filter set. It also provides a bubble chart comparing three key metrics for your top tasks together with a corresponding data grid. You can customize the bubble chart by selecting the number of tasks to view and the three metrics to plot, including the Rank By metric, the X-Axis metric and the Y-Axis metric. You can also choose whether to rank the bubble chart data in Ascending or Descending order. The grid can be further customized as described in Customizing task columns.

For the specified filters, the Top Tasks dashboard displays the following key metrics:

Server utilization

The Server Utilization section contains the following metrics:

  • Average Memory - The average memory consumed by a task.
  • Average Disk Utilization - The average disk space utilization by a task.
  • Average Task CPU - The average CPU (as a percentage of server CPU) consumed by each task.

Full load

The Full Load section contains the following metrics:

  • Total Tables: The total number of tables for a task.
  • Total Records: The total number of records for a task.
  • Max Load Duration: The longest duration of the load process (in seconds).
  • Average Load Duration: The average duration of the load process for a completed task (in seconds).
  • Average Source Throughput (rec/sec): The average source throughput (in rec/sec) for a task.
  • Average Source Throughput (kb/sec): The average source throughput (in kb/sec) for a task.
  • Average Target Throughput (rec/sec): The average target throughput (in rec/sec) for a task.
  • Average Target Throughput (kb/sec): The average target throughput (in kb/sec) for a task.

Change processing

The Change Processing section contains the following metrics:

  • Average Changes on Disk (Source): The average number of changes accumulated on disk until source commit for a task.
  • Average Changes for Apply in Memory (Target): The average number of changes in memory during apply and until target commit for a task.
  • Average Changes for Apply on Disk (Target): The average number of changes on disk during apply and until target commit for a task.
