Using a MySQL-based database as a source
This section describes how to set up and use a MySQL-based database as a source in a replication task.
You need to configure the Replicate MySQL endpoint when replicating from any of the following databases:
- MySQL
- Percona
- MariaDB
- Microsoft Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server
- Amazon Aurora
Information note
The procedures for configuring connectivity to these endpoints are identical to those described in this section, for MySQL. However, when using Percona as a source, the CDC prerequisites described in Prerequisites are not relevant.
