Qlik GeoAnalytics server requirements

This is a brief description of requirements on servers that should run Qlik GeoAnalytics Map Server or Qlik GeoAnalytics Enterprise Server.

Software

The following OSs are supported for Qlik GeoAnalytics server installations:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019

  • Microsoft Windows 7
  • Microsoft Windows 8.1
  • Microsoft Windows 10

Java 8-14 (64-bit ) must be installed. Java 7 is no longer supported.

Hardware

Listed below are typical use cases, with suggested hardware requirements. "Cores" assumes core count in standard market CPUs, or on standard cloud service deployments. RAM and Disk resources listed below are minimum resources required on the server device for Qlik GeoAnalytics to operate, and do not account for system OS or other software.

Extra resources should be added as usage increases. Using SSDs for disk space is more efficient for speeding up location lookups and some routing operations, as the disk is mainly used for caching map tiles. To support high load or high availability requirements, multiple servers may be placed under a load balancer. It is also possible to separate Map services on one server, and GeoAnalytics operations, including Routing, on another server.

Qlik GeoAnalytics Map Server (no routing), 50 users

  • Cores: 1
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Disk: 300GB

Qlik GeoAnalytics Map Server (no routing), 500 users

  • Cores: 2
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Disk: 400GB

Qlik GeoAnalytics Enterprise Server, 500 users

  • Cores: 4
  • RAM: 25GB
  • Disk: 500GB
