Connector classifications
Connectors are sometimes released with a Lite label or a Preview label. This topic summarizes the differences in terms of functionality between the two classifications.
-
Standard connectors
Standard connectors are fully supported by Qlik in accordance with Qlik’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) for critical issues related to data integrity, security, and reliability.
-
Lite connectors
To accelerate the availability of new SaaS application connectors, Qlik may initially develop some connectors for a specific use case and then release them with a Lite label. Lite connectors are fully supported by Qlik in accordance with Qlik’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) for critical issues related to data integrity, security, and reliability. The primary distinction is that Lite connectors are tested against a limited set of use cases, which are outlined in the documentation.
-
Preview connectors
Preview connectors are new connectors, which do not have the full functionality of Lite or Standard connectors. Like Lite and Standard connectors, they are fully supported by Qlik in accordance with Qlik’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) for critical issues related to data integrity, security, and reliability.
All Qlik Talend Cloud subscriptions allow you to replicate data from Lite, Preview, and Standard connectors, with pricing based on data volume rather than connector type.
At some point in the future, a Lite or Preview connector might become a Standard connector upon validation of additional use cases (Lite connectors) or once performance has been properly validated (Preview connectors). This process ensures broader functionality and enhanced support as adoption increases.
