Displaying content usage metrics

Usage metrics help users to understand content viewing and usage levels in the tenant over the last 28 days.

The viewed by KPI displays the number of users who have opened the content. The used in KPI refers to data only and displays how many applications have used the dataset. For more information, see Viewer and item usage metrics.

Usage metrics are turned on by default. If you do not want to expose this information to all users, this setting can be turned off. If you turn them off, they will not be displayed anywhere in the tenant or in copies of the content published after the setting is turned off.

  1. Go to Settings > Feature control.

  2. Under Usage metrics, turn off the toggle so the KPIs will not appear in the tenant.
