Transitioning schemas

After you verify your datasets, it is recommended that you update any downstream processes to base them on the new schema created by the Qlik Talend Cloud dataset. Downstream processes might be connected to a data modeling process that is external to Qlik Talend Cloud using a third party application or connected to a data analytics tool.

It is recommended that you do the following:

  1. Change the downstream process to point to the new schema created by Qlik Talend Cloud after you validate your datasets.

  2. Once you point your downstream and modeling processes to your new schema, pause the Stitch integration. After pausing the Stitch integration, the data replicated by Stitch will still exist in your data warehouse under the Stitch schema. You can keep the existing Stitch schema, for example, if it contains data of value that is no longer available in the source, or merge it with the new destination schema created in Qlik Talend Cloud.
